75,000 hectares are being deforested per year in Colombia
Agricultural expansion is the main reason of approximately 90% of worldwide deforestation. In order to preserve our future, we need to change our attitude towards nature. Not only does agricultural expansion affect climate change, but it also generates a reduction in biodiversity whilst preventing communities from developing sustainable activities for their well-being.
What if we could offer a solution to contribute to land degradation, stop biodiversity loss, combat desertification, protect and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems while ending poverty in the communities we impact? Many people live in rural areas in poverty or extreme poverty with no real possibilities to sustain their families, communities and surroundings, contributing to migration, victims of armed conflicts, and violence around land control. We share the common goals of the October 2024 COP16, ONU´s sustainable development goals, and the alignment to the global pact.
Our Project
Replace grasslands & terrains suffering from desertification with 40,000 macadamia nut trees.
Restore the land and local fauna while boosting biodiversity.
Generate well-payed employment in rural communities.
This solution of circular economy will bring wealth to all the supply chain, open the study of alternative energy solutions for biomass energy cogeneration and biochar crop fertilization contributing to CO2 sequestration and improving food consumption habits for cardiovascular health.
